The trilogy “The Light of Christ. Georgia” will be presented at the exhibition of calligraphy

The trilogy "The Light of Christ. Georgia" will be presented at the II International Exhibition of Calligraphy, which will be held in the capital of Russia. After Moscow the exhibition will tour other world culture centers, the author and chief editor of the project "Light of Christ. Georgia” Professor Nestan Kirtadze told GHN Agency.

The exhibition which invited Nestan Kirtadze is held in Moscow from October 14 till November 14. “At this culture event Georgia will present the rare edition of the “Light of Christ. Georgia”, as well as illustrations from the ancient manuscripts collected in the landmark trilogy and reflecting the culture development of Georgian literature”.

“It should be noted that the international exhibition organizers provided a special pavilion for the exhibits of extreme rarity for the exposition of a unique Georgian book trilogy”, said Mrs. Kirtadze in an interview to the Agency. She also said after Moscow the exhibition will be exhibited in the world cultural centers: Tokyo, New York, Paris, Jerusalem and other cities.

At the same time Mrs. Kirtadaze also brought to the Moscow exhibition a welcome letter from Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II, the Message of Peace where he addressed to the organizers and participants.

“On the one hand it is a unique opportunity to acquaint the world with spirituality and culture of the Georgian civilization. On the other, in my opinion, the significance of the event makes it possible to continue the dialogue of cultures between Georgia and Russia. Never to stop the cultural interaction despite the extremely tense international relations between the two countries”, said Nestan Kirtadze before leaving for Moscow.

Besides, Mrs. Kirtadze expressed hope that the Light of Christ. Georgia will play its significant role in restoration of relations between Russia and Georgia.

“With the help of God the Light of Christ. Georgia will become a massager of peace which will rebuild and restore the bridges of understanding among our peoples”, said Nestan Kirtadze.

The II International Exhibition of Calligraphy will be organized in Moscow from October 14 till November 14 under the auspices of the UNESCO Commission for the Russian Federation. Such a large scale event sponsored by the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy and National Union of Calligraphers is held in Moscow for the first time ever.

The exhibition will demonstrate the works of the world renowned authors. The visitors will see the masterpieces of calligraphy from more than 30 countries such as Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Israel, USA, Japan, China, France, Italy, Germany, Australia, Brazil, etc.

Among the guests of the exhibition there are expected the collectors from around the world, authoritative art historians and critics.
